Company History

The Company was formed in the early 60's as a builder of high-end residential units. In 1963 the Company was incorporated and expanded into the commercial construction market, providing general construction, construction management, and design/build services throughout Maine. Over the years, several company acquisitions of specialty contractors were made and in 1977 the companies were merged into a new entity. The individual names of the construction entities were maintained during this time.

In November of 1995, the company was dissolved and the individual entities once again started operations under their original names. At this time, the company name became Ganneston Construction Corp. to better reflect its role as a commercial General Contractor, Construction Manager, and Design/Builder.

In November of 2001 the current chief executive officer of the company acquired the assets of the corporation. All business relationships, contracts, senior management, field personnel, and company structure and philosophy, were retained and additional senior management has been added. Ganneston Construction Corp. is certified as a Disadvantaged/Minority Business by the Maine Department of Transportation in accordance with the requirements as set forth in 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26.

Ganneston Construction Corp. is a full service General Contractor, Construction Manager, and Design/Builder, with significant experience in wood framed, concrete and steel framed, commercial and industrial buildings, including health care facilities, schools, banks, retail, offices, warehouses, manufacturing and industrial facilities.

The Corporation maintains an average of 35 employees, with an increased employment of up to approximately 45 employees during the peak construction months. Annual dollar value of gross project construction costs over the past 3 years averages nine (9) million dollars per year and has been growing annually in a controlled manner.

This Corporation, affiliated corporations, and its corporate officers have never failed to complete a contract awarded to them. Ganneston Construction Corp. is highly respected by its clients, subcontractors and vendors, and design professionals, and provides personal attention by senior management to all projects.

Ganneston Construction Corp. is committed to the safety of our employees, subcontractors, and clients. We maintain an excellent safety record through the use of ongoing training programs, and regular job site inspections. All employees are OSHA, and FIRST AID trained, and, in addition, all supervisory level personnel are CPR trained and certified.
